SureSeal Technology

SureSeal™ Technology

First developed by scientists at Oregon State University, SureSeal™ is a proprietary, innovative technology that is changing the way growers protect fruit and nut crops against environmental stress.

Cultiva® Parka®, powered by SureSeal, is used on high-value commercial crops – like grapes, apples, blueberries, nuts and cherries – to protect against environmental stress, improve fruit quality and finish, increase marketable yields and extend shelf life.

Parka® SureSeal suppresses fruit cracking in the event of high moisture or rain  by providing a protective shield against water absorption. Cultiva products protect the integrity of the outer skin, or cuticle layer, of fruits, vegetables and nuts throughout the growing season. Application ultimately leads to higher marketable yield, meaning higher income to growers. Compared to other products in the industry, Cultiva Parka powered by SureSeal is the only one with elastic properties allowing the protective shield to stretch and maintain its integrity while the crop is still growing and expanding. Competitive products are rigid wax-based technologies that split apart when the crop expands, thereby compromising the protection provided by the cuticle shield. SureSeal™ -based technology products stand alone in how they shield and protect high-value crops.
